The Yankee Air Force air show - "Thunder Over Michigan - will be held at Willow Run Airport in Ypsilanti on Saturday & Sunday, August 4 and 5.  Northville area volunters are needed August 2 & 3 to assist in setting up the show and on Aug. 6 to assist in post show dis-assembly.  Tasks will include setting up tents & displays, bleachers, crowd barriers, individual aircraft displays, etc.  The Northville group will be participating primarily on Friday, August 3, from 9 a.m to 5 p.m.  We will meet promptly at 9 a.m. at Gate E28 (off of Beck Road) which is right next to the 'Yankee Air Park' (home of the WW II B-52) at the west end of A street.  We are informed that during this set up period various participants in the weekend air show will be practicing overhead and doing take-offs and landings.  Bring family & friends who can help.  This is a great family-based educational opportunity for a worthy cause.  For organizational purposes please call Ron Bodnar at 248 802-4215 (10 a.m. to 10 p.m.) in advance with any questions and to indicate you will be joining us.
