Bosch-sponsored P-CEP Team Makes State Robotics Quarterfinals

A robot built by students from Plymouth, Canton and Salem high schools finished in the quarter-finals at this year's Michigan FIRST Robotics state competition.

A team of more than 60 students from Salem, Canton and Plymouth high schools, sponsored by Farmington Hills-based Robert Bosch LLC, made it into the quarterfinals of this year's FIRST (For Inspiration and Recognition of Science and Technology) Robotics Michigan State Championship, held this weekend at the Convocation Center at Eastern Michigan University. Team 862 entered their original, basketball-playing robot into the competition. 

The Detroit Free Press reports that teams from International Academy in Bloomfield Township, Huron Valley Schools in Milford and Huron High School in Ann Arbor won the competition.
