Carnival to Return to Northville During Arts & Acts Festival, Solstice Run Weekend
The Northville Chamber of Commerce-sponsored carnival returns after a more than five year break.
Carnival lovers delight: The Northville Chamber of Commerce is reintroducing its Summer Carnival from June 21-24.
There will be a minimum of 18 rides, including a kiddie area, said Chamber Associate Director Tracy Sincock. Arnold Amusements of Traverse City, which also provides carnival entertainment during Traverse City's popular Cherry Festival, will supply the entertainment.
The carnival falls at a busy time on the city of Northville's calendar. The Arts and Acts Festival, Solstice Run and more will be held over the same weekend.
"Northville will have something for everyone and be the community to be in that weekend," Sincock said.
The carnival will be held in the Northville Downs parking lot at Seven Mile Road and Center Street. Passes for rides will be sold for $20, or single tickets to ride are $1 each.
It has been more than five years since the summer carnival has been held, said Sincock. The chamber's previous contact switched companies, and they were approached about hosting it again.
The carnival will be open during the following hours:
- Thursday and Friday (June 21, 22) 4-11 p.m.
- Saturday (June 23) 12-11 p.m.
- Sunday (June 24) 12-8 p.m.
