Parents and children gathered at Northville Square Tuesday for a one-of-a-kind Children's Marketplace.

It was the first of what will be a weekly event held on Tuesdays from 9:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Admission is free. The marketplace features various local vendors, including candy bouquets, kids' garments, makeup and more.

Kids' entertainment is also available. On Tuesday, children's yoga was offered and Tinkerbell greeted kids in attendance. There is also a hands-on play area for small children.

Organizer Tracey Wormsbacher said she hopes the event will show off the family-friendliness of Northville.
