CVS Marred by Graffiti in Northville, Underage Drinking and Driving
The following information was provided by the Northville Police Department. Arrests do not indicate convictions.
Northville Police responded Aug. 31 at 8:17 a.m. to a report of graffiti at CVS Pharmacy, 133 East Dunlap St., according to a police report.
The CVS manager told police he had video of individuals spray painting the sidewalk on the north side of the building on Aug. 25. The spray paint was black and in the image of a turtle shell, according to the report. Police have no suspects.
Underage Drinking and Driving
Northville Police responded Sep. 2 at 2:37 a.m. to an incident of underage drinking and driving, according to a police report. A group of five males were in a black Volkswagon Jetta, the report said. As the officer neared the vehicle at the intersection of Lake Street and Carpenter Avenue, four males exited the vehicle and fled to nearby houses, according to the report.
The responding officer ordered the male driver out of the vehicle and onto the ground, the report said. The officers arrested the male driver and proceeded to the homes of the other identified males, according to the report.
Driving Under the Influence
Northville police responded Sep. 1 at 9:58 p.m. to a case of an individual operating under the influence of alcohol near the intersection of Hutton and Rayson streets, according to a police report. The female driver was in a green Toyota Corolla, the report said. The responding officer performed a series of sobriety tests on the individual like the one-leg stand, the walk-and-turn and the finger-to-nose tests, according to the report.
Witnesses said they saw the driver of the vehicle drive through a red light and hit a curb causing a piece of the vehicle to fall off, according to the police report. Police arrested the female driver on charges of operating a vehicle while intoxicated.
