The man charged with leaving the scene of a hit-and-run in downtown Northville in December, which left a 25-year-old West Bloomfield man dead, will be sentenced Thursday.

According to the Wayne County Prosecutor's office, 43-year-old Kevin Alexander of South Lyon pleaded no contest in May.

In December, Northville city police launched a months-long search for the driver of a dark-colored SUV that struck and killed Joshua Green. Green had been walking in the road, on Griswold Street, when he was hit. A friend of Green's chased the SUV on foot and saw it speed away.

Alexander came forward as the driver in February and turned himself in to police. He was charged with failure to stop at the scene of a personal injury accident.
