Free Flu Shots Offered at Northville-Novi Family Medicine

To promote the opening of her new family medicine practice, one local doctor is offering free flu shots.

There are at least 20 free flu shots left at Northville-Novi Family Medicine on Novi Road near Farms.

Dr. Victoria Dooley is offering the flu shots to promote the opening of her practice one month ago and to spread awareness about the importance of getting a flu shot.

"Flu season doesn’t actually start until this time of year. I just want people to know it’s not too late," she said.

Dooley reminds that the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) recommends that anyone 6 months and older should get a yearly shot to prevent seasonal influenza. Those with chronic diseases are especially in need, she said.

Her office is open from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. daily but she recommends calling ahead to check on availability at 248-946-4905.
