Where/When: The park behind Northville District Library on Friday at 8 p.m.
Why Go: Make the most of the end of summer. Pack a blanket and a picnic dinner and head outside to see Toy Story 3.

Where/When: Northville's Town Square on Friday at 7 p.m.
Why Go: Bring the whole family to enjoy the last concert of the season. Country rock singer Justine Blazer will be performing.

• FOSSIL FINDING AT KENSINGTON
Where/When: Kensington Metropark on Saturday at 1 p.m.
Why Go: Exercise those young scientific minds. Kids will learn how to identify fossils and then go hunting for them at the gravel pit.

• NORTH AMERICAN INT'L KARATE CHAMPIONSHIPS
Where/When: Suburban Collection Showplace in Novi on Saturday from 9 a.m.-10 p.m.
Why Go: Watch and learn. Check out different martial arts styles during a full day and evening of competitions and demonstrations.
Pricing: $5 parking fee
Where/When: Hearts of Inspiration on Monday from 10:30-11:30 a.m.
Why Go: Sit back, relax and enjoy music and stories, not to mention the cookies and milk!
Pricing: $3 ($1 goes to Beaumont Hospital's Teen Heart Screening Program)
