Graffiti Found on Tom Holzer Ford Field Before Northville, Novi Football Game

Graffiti found at newly revamped athletic field
A Northville Public Schools custodian found graffiti at the newly renovated Tom Holzer Ford Field near Eight Mile Road and Center Street on the morning of Friday's game between the Mustangs and Novi High School.
According to police reports, the graffiti was spray painted in white around the field sometime before 7 a.m. on Oct. 5. The graffiti included obscene words and drawings.
There are no suspects at this time.
Man accused of passing out behind the wheel
A 26-year-old Novi man was found passed out in his vehicle, which was stopped at a light at Seven Mile and Northville roads, on Oct. 5, according to Northville Township police reports.
A witness told police that the man had been sitting at the light for several cycles and that she tried to wake him but he did not respond, according to the report. When police found him, he was unable to perform several sobriety tests and was arrested. His blood alcohol level was above .20, which is higher than the .08 legal limit.
He was issued a citation for operating his vehicle while intoxicated. He is due to appear in the 35th District Court in Plymouth in a few weeks.
Accused Meijer shoplifter arrested
Northville Township police arrested a 54-year-old Westland woman at Meijer on charges of retail fraud on Oct. 7.
According to township police reports, the woman was seen hiding items in her purse and leaving the store without paying for them. When police arrived and questioned her, she appeared to be ill and was having a possible seizure.
Because of her condition, Northville Township Fire Department paramedics were called. She was issued a citation for larceny and was released on a $300 bond, according to the report. She is due to appear in 35th District Court in late October.
