If you're headed to the Detroit Urban Craft Fair this weekend, you may see a familiar, local face.
Ann Ryan, a Northville resident, will be selling her hand-painted and hand-dyed yarns and fibers, among other items, from her business Colorbug Yarns.
"I hand-dye all of the fibers used in my batts, with the exception of the sparkle," Ryan wrote in an email. "I also carry DIY kits for kool-aid dyeing, and pattern support for my yarns. All patterns are from small, independent designers."
The fair is sponsored by Handmade Detroit. It will be held at the Masonic
Temple of Detroit from Dec. 3-4. Admission is $1 is for the event, which will include arts and crafts ranging from jewelry to paper goods and housewares to clothing, with more than 80 vendors.
