Man Charged in Threatening to Blow Up Thornton Creek Elementary
According to media reports, the man made the threat in an online comment on a news article.
A man has been charged with posting an online threat to Thornton Creek Elementary School, according to a report by the Associated Press posted on MLive.
The article states that on Jan. 8 Alex Boyar threatened that he would blow up the elementary school unless a math test was canceled.
Thornton Creek is located in Novi and is in the Northville Public School District.
According to MLive, the FBI said Boyar's comment was posted at the bottom of an online news story about an earlier lockdown at the school. Boyar told the Associated Press that he was joking and did not have any real plans.
