Updated: Number of Northville Homes Without Power Reduced to Less Than 50

The biggest outages are reported between Six and Seven Mile roads, east of Sheldon and west of Napier roads.

The number of Northville homes without power has been reduced to under 50, according to the updated DTE map.

5 p.m.

About 1,250 Northville residents are without power Tuesday afternoon. 

According to a DTE Energy outage map, the most heavily affected area is  between Six and Seven Mile roads, east of Sheldon and west of Napier roads.

On Monday, DTE Energy spokesman John Austerberry said that the Michigan-based gas and electric company is anticipating large outages.

The National Weather Service issued a now-expired wind advisory Monday morning for all of southern Michigan, including Midland, Bay, Lenawee, Saginaw, Tuscola, Shiawassee, Genesee, Lapeer, Livingston, Oakland, Macomb, Washtenaw and Wayne counties.

The NWS forecast for Tuesday night shows that showers are likely with cloudy skies and a low around 36 degrees. On Wednesday, showers remain likely with cloudy skies and a high near 44.
