Northville Businesswoman to Serve on Detroit's Financial Advisory Board
Sandra Pierce, president and CEO of Charter One, was named to the board on Friday.
Sandra Pierce, of Northville, is one of two people from the suburbs named to the board on Friday by Detroit Mayor Dave Bing, according to a story in the Detroit News.
Pierce is a Detroit native who is also the president and CEO of Charter One, Michigan.
The board is charged with the task of carrying out the city's Financial Stability Agreement. The agreement "sets specific procedures and positions in place to avoid a Detroit bankruptcy," according to the Detroit News.
