Northville Girls Soccer Beats Livonia Stevenson 4-0
The Mustangs are undefeated in the KLAA Central Division.
Northville High School's girls soccer team maintains its undefeated status in the KLAA Central Division after winning a game Tuesday against Livonia Stevenson High School.
The Mustangs won the match-up 4-0.
"Another consistent dominant performance out of this team," said Northville coach Eric Brucker. "They refused to get frustrated with the early struggles in finding the net. They stayed very composed."

Senior Mallory Weber delivered a well-tied pass through the Spartans defense to on-rushing sophomore Jamie Cheslik at the 25-minute mark. Cheslik swerved right around the sprawling keeper and deposited the ball in the back of the net.
In the second half of the game, Senior Sam Jarrett raced down the right hand side a played a beautiful cross to the back post. Junior Emily Bush then fought off two defenders for the diving header goal. Later, Sophomore Megan Buckingham led the charge down the right hand side of the field. After beating the first defender, Megan laid the ball back to the top of the 18 yard box where Junior Gabbie Guibord was waiting. Two touches later, a low crisp shot got behind the Stevenson keeper.
At the 67-minute mark, Cheslik chalked up her second goal of the night as she raced through the Spartan defense from mid-field as fired a near post shot from 12 yards out. Buckingham was credited with the assist. Junior Kiki Hilmer was in net for the shutout.
Northville now moves to 9-0-3 (4-0-0 KLAA Central) and Stevenson moves to 5-5-0 (2-2-0 KLAA Central).
"The defense played superb and held a good Spartan team to zero shots on net," Brucker said. "Megan, Gabbie, and Claire did a great job controlling the center of the field. Now we go back through the Central Division a second time. We have to be ready for the changes the rest of the teams bring at us."
