A Northville man has died after his motorcycle was hit by a car in Salem Township on Friday, according to a press release from the Michigan State Police.
Willard Combs, 40, died after his Harley Davidson—which had apparently broken down—was hit by a Ford Taurus in the southbound lane of Pontiac Trail, just north of Five Mile Road.

The driver of the car, 22-year-old Sarah Patton of South Lyon, suffered minor injuries and sought her own treatment, police said. Patton was wearing her seat belt.
Police said alcohol is not believed to be a factor in the crash.
In addition, police said the investigation into the crash continues and did not have any further information as of this posting.
