Northville Public Schools Posts Silver Springs Principal Job
What qualities do you want in a new Silver Springs Principal?
Following the announcement of former Silver Springs Elementary School principal Scott Snyder's resignation last week, the Northville school district has posted the job for his position.
Snyder resigned his position to pursue other career opportunities, according to a letter by Northville Public Schools Superintendent Mary Kay Gallagher. The resignation came not long after district parents rallied in late June in support of Snyder, whose contract was not automatically renewed by the Northville school board. The board voted in April, 6-1, to not automatically renew the contract. The board did not give a reason for the non-renewal.
In posting the job, the district has indicated the salary range will be between $84,000-$99,500. The announcment also states that the district prefers a candidate that can start on or before Sept. 4, which is the first day of classes.
The deadline to apply, according to the posting, is Aug. 16 at noon.
