Northville Township Voters Elect Robert Nix For Supervisor, Marjorie Banner for Treasurer
Here's a breakdown of the numbers from Northville Township voters who cast ballots in the August 7 primary.
Voters in Northville Township have selected Robert Nix for the supervisor post, according to unofficial results from township clerk Sue Hillebrand. He will replace Mark Abbo, who did not seek re-election. Nix earned 2,035 to current trustee Christopher Roosen's 1,533 votes. Edward Kriewall got 178 votes.
Nix is currently chair of the township planning commission. He was previously endorsed by Abbo for the seat.
Marjorie Banner edged out Karen Woodside by 97 votes for the treasurer seat. Banner, who currently holds a trustee seat, will replace Richard Henningsen. He did not seek re-election. In total, Banner earned 1,828 votes. She was endorsed by Henningsen for the seat.
For both offices, the Republican candidates ran unopposed, which means they have essentially won their seats for the general election too.
