Northville Township Voters to Pick New Supervisor, Treasurer

Voters will also decide which trustee candidates will advance to the general election.

There are less than two weeks until the August 7 primary in which Northville Township voters will pick its leadership.

Three candidates are vying for the role of Northville Township's supervisor. The one selected for the post will replace Mark Abbo, who is not running for re-election.

  • Edward Kriewall is Novi's former city manager and a recent resident of the township.
  • Robert Nix has served as chair of the township's planning commission. He has been a resident of the township for 26 years.
  • Christopher Roosen is a current Northville Township trustee. He's a 12-year resident of the township.

For the office of clerk, Sue Hillebrand is running unopposed. There are two candidates seeking the treasurer seat. Richard Henningsen, who holds the seat now, is not seeking re-election.

In addition, there are five Republicans and one Democrat running for one of four township seats. Two are incumbents.
