Welcome back, Patch Blogger!

Patch Site Has Many Features to Explore, Keep You Informed During the Holidays

We'll all be busy during the holiday season, but that's no reason to get behind on your news. Here's how Patch can help you stay on top of what's happening in Northville.

Northville Patch has only been around for a few days, but I and the team of journalists I work with are working to fill this website up with news and information relevant to you, from news about local businesses, government and schools to profiles on the unique people of Northville. Go ahead take a look.

Now, take a deep breath. Exhale.

There's a lot of information to take in. But we're hoping it's useful to you. With the upcoming holidays – when your focus will be on family reunions, holiday parties, buying presents and getting your home holiday-ready – there's still a way to keep up on all the news we will continue to provide.

Our site has a very simple, user-friendly search feature. At the top right, you can type in any word and a list of articles, events and announcements relating to that word will appear. All of our stories are archived. So if there's something we've published that you want to find later, it will always be there.

Another way to stay on top of your Northville news is to subscribe to our email newsletter. We have a daily and weekly roundup of our headlines that can be delivered straight to your inbox.

If you're a social media addict, which is an understatement in describing yours truly, you can get your fill of Northville news via Facebook or Twitter.

You'll get updates on Facebook a few times a day if you "like" our page. Sometimes you'll get the content that may be useful to you – such as the cancellation of an athletic event or observation from around town – that might not warrant a story but is still useful to the community.

On Twitter, @NorthvillePatch, you can follow us. Often times, when I'm at a city council or township meeting, I make sure to update regularly about what's going on so that you get information from us right away before we even publish a story.

I cannot stress enough how much I truly believe this is YOUR site, Northville. It's my hope that you'll take advantage of these features and find them to be useful.
