PHOTOS: Ghoultide Gathering Brings Halloween Art to Northville

Artists and collectors from all over the country descend on Northville for annual an Halloween-themed art show.

Northville's hosted the annual Ghoultide Gathering art show this weekend. The show opened Friday from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. and continued Saturday starting at 10 a.m. and running until 2 p.m.

Collectors waited for hours in the cold, wind and rain to get first dibs at original Halloween-themed pieces from their favorite artists.

Gary Dotchin from Pittsburg was first in line Friday evening in front of one of the three buildings that exhibited the artwork. He had been waiting there since 1:30 p.m. for the show's 6 p.m. opening.

"There are certain artists that are at this event that you can't get access to unless you are here at this event, so you want to be here first to get those selective pieces," Dotchin said.

Display tents were also set up on the lawn of the historic village. Even with cold and rain, collectors were undeterred and flocked both indoors and out to find their favorite ghoulish artwork to take home.
