Spinning For a Cause: Northville's Spinergy Fitness Fund-Raising for Make-A-Wish
Donations from the July 7 event will go to the Make-A-Wish Foundation.
From 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on July 7, spinning enthusiasts can get in a good workout, while contributing to the Make-A-Wish Foundation.
Spinergy Fitness, located in Northville Square at the intersection of Main and Wing streets, will offer classes on 20 of its spinning bikes for $25 per hour, per person, said co-owner Dave Gawthrop.
"Make-A-Wish has always been a favorite of mine," he said. "(The owners) thought it would be a great cause."
The Make-A-Wish Foundation grants the wishes of children with life-threatening medical conditions, according to its website, and grants a wish every 38 minutes.
Music during the day will be provided by DJ Paradime, of Kid Rock's Twisted Brown Trucker Band, and DJ AMF, Gawthrop said.
There will be a silent auction of items donated by local merchants throughout the day. There will also be children's face painting at the event for a donation. Ice cream will be sold, too, for $1 per scoop, courtesy of Fred's Ice Cream. Proceeds will benefit Make-A-Wish.
