U-M Solar Car Team Visits Amerman Fourth Graders

The U-M team talked to students about their solar powered car and learned more about the Lego ones built by Amerman students.

On Thursday morning, fourth graders piled into the multipurpose room at to watch a presentation on solar cars. Three members of the University of Michigan Solar Car Team visited Amerman to talk about their solar powered car, which they call Infinium.

The U-M students built Infinium from the ground up and will race it in Australia against other teams from all over the world. Similarly, the fourth grade classes at Amerman have built their own solar powered cars made out of Legos and will race them sometime next week.

The Amerman race was supposed to be this week, but last weeks weather had put them behind schedule with producing the cars.
