VIDEO: Susan G. Komen 3-Day Walkers Hope For Good Turnout at Northville Cheering Station
The cheering station in Northville will be located on Main Street on Saturday.
Moraine Elementary School teacher Cecelia Brown is participating in her first Susan G. Komen 3-Day walk for the cure.
The walk, aimed at bringing awareness about breast cancer and fundraising for research and prevention, moves through Northville today. Between 9:30 a.m. and 4 p.m., you can cheer on the walkers on Main Street between Hutton and Center streets.
For folks like Brown, who said she'd be delighted to see her students come out to cheer her on, the stations are a big deal.
"You're walking, you're tired and walking into a cheer station and seeing all those happy faces encouraging you to keep going and telling you what a great job you're doing - it really means a lot to the walkers," Brown said.
