This week we want to know: Who has the best barbecue in southeastern Michigan?

You can let us know by leaving a comment below. You may submit comments until 5 p.m. Tuesday.

From there, we will take the top three nominees and post in an article first thing Wednesday morning. Then it will be time to vote again to decide the Food Fight champion.

Voting will continue until Friday at 5 p.m. Then, on Saturday morning, we will announce the winner.

So show your hometown pride and pick a place near you. Boast about that small family restaurant or other great eatery in your neighborhood.

If you are pulling for a certain restaurant, share this column on your personal Facebook page and Twitter feed and ask your followers to vote.

This column is all about you—your ideas, your feedback and your voice—so we hope you will chime in and check back.

So, without further ado, lets get the voting started. Patch readers, tell us by commenting below, where is the BEST place to get barbecue in southeastern Michigan.

Its Slows and Slowstogo without a doubt. Homemade sauces, as much attention to the sides as the main event, all natural hormone free pork and brisket. great beer list great ownership that lives and believes in the area!

Kit Kat Klub, 25 and Romeo Plank in Macomb Township.
If pure BBQ ribs with homemade sauce and great taste is your thing. You have to call in your order at least three hours early but it's definately worth it.

Union Woodshop in Clarkston is by far the best-Slows is solid and Bad Brad is weak at times with ribs undersmoked and less than spicy sauces. Woodshop is truly worth the trek-Best regards

Slows is VERY over rated and frankly sucks. If dry, salty pork is your thing then youll love Slows. If all you know is Slows then its probably the best you have ever had. If you have had real BBQ then youll never eat Slows, ever. Metro Detroit BBQ is a disaster.

Frank,
I thought this was about what was the best. Your ignorance to BBQ is dully noted. I personally know the ownership and have never seen such dedication to doing it right. They traveled the country and tweeked recipes from notable places all over this country. They have been on food network and Man vs Food. Adam Richman has included their Mac and cheese as one of the ten things in this country you need to eat before you die. The one thing I hate in life is haters, especially the ones that do not know what they are talking about.

Rick, since when is Mac and Cheese BBQ? Been there, ate it, and didnt care for it. Ive been going down south all my life and I know real BBQ. Google "Slows sucks" and youll find I am not the only one to say it sucks. Lexington BBQ, research it and youll know what real BBQ is.

Adam Richman is an actor with zero formal culinary training. I'm not buying a culinary recommendation from someone that used to be on All My Children and Law and Order...

Mr. PittMaster BBQ in Trenton has the very best ribs, loaded with hickory smoked flavor and succulent tastes. He won the Wyandotte 2011 BBQ cookoff going up against some of the best in the area. The owner does it all putting all his love into this BBQ, he's been cooking them low and slow for over 40 years and claims to be the face of BBQ,,I agree

Slows is soooooo overrated all because they made it to a tv show. I will never step foot in that place again. I actually think it is the worst around. Again, just my opinion.

I agree with Daniela and Cass. Boneyard! It's always a tough call with Ribs. If you're a "Fall off the Bone" fan, you'll have a different different favorite place in mind. For me, one of my life's disappointments was when Boneyard closed their M-59 location.
