Hi this is my 1st blog post so I wanted to provide just a little background. My name is Michelle Voineag and I am the owner of the SuperSlow Zone located on Six Mile in Northville. SuperSlow Zone offers 1 to 1 personal training using the safe & effective method of high intensity low impact exercise method called SuperSlow. The sessions are private, goal-oriented & best of all don't take much time.
I have a passion, not only for safe, effective exercise but also for healthy cooking. Since it is still so cold and soup can be warming, healthy & satisfying here is a recipe I enjoy & would like to share. Enjoy!
Fresh Vegetable Soup
Coconut oil
1 onion
3 cloves garlic
½ head of small cabbage
3 carrots
2 stalks celery
½ cup fresh green beans
½ cup corn (fresh if possible)
2-3 fresh cut tomatoes
3 red skin potatoes
1-1/2 teaspoons sea salt
Sauté onion, celery and garlic with coconut oil until translucent. Add all vegetables except corn & beans. Then add enough water to cover the vegetables. Add the salt, stir and cover. Cook for 20 minutes, then add the corn & beans. Cover again & cook until all vegetables are tender – approx 20 more minutes.
