As a newly diagnosed Celiac I wanted to make a suggestion that area food and drink servers might want to consider adding some gluten free items to their menus.
Today we were at , The Next Chapter Bookstore & Bistro. They have added some wonderful looking and smelling crepes to their food served, and it would be so simple to offer a gluten free crepe. As more and more customers find out they have food allergies or sensitivities the demand is greater for gluten free choices.
I know now, when I go out with friends or family, to usually call ahead to see if they have gluten free choices. A lot of restaurants have added some special need meals to their menus. If out with friends, I avoid places without good g-f choices. I know it could really make a difference if more owners cater to us people with food sensitivity issues.
