 ing Point Theatre opens the last show in its 2011-12 &ldquo\;5th birthda
 y season&rdquo\; with this lovely comedy about life-long friendships.Luc
 ille\,   Doris\, and Ida are Jewish widows and the surviving members of 
 longtime   best friends. They get together once a month for tea and a vi
 sit to  the  cemetery where their husbands are buried. Each woman deals 
 with the   passing of her husband in her own way. Lucille still fancies 
 herself  as a  flamboyant swinger\, Doris is a traditional matronly wido
 w still  devoted  to her departed husband\, and Ida has happy memories o
 f her  husband and  their marriage and is in no hurry to move on. How th
 ey  heal\, quarrel\,  cope with the past\, and learn to date again is th
 e  hallmark of this  bittersweet comedy about life and friendship.&ldquo
 \;The  women in this  show have been friends for many years and have a r
 eally  fun rapport with  each other\,&ldquo\; said director\, Beth Torre
 y. &ldquo\;The best  part of the  production is that it focuses on women
  in a later stage in  life and  their unique friendships.&rdquo\; When a
 sked about the challenges of  the show  Torrey says\, &rdquo\;The script
  takes place in two locations: a  living room and  a cemetery. They both
  have to be equally represented on  the stage in a  creative way and I t
 hink our great design team has  achieved that!&rdquo\;Cemetery  Club run
 s from May 10 through June 17\,  2012. The curtain rises at 8  p.m. Thur
 sdays through Saturdays\, with  matinees at 3 p.m. Saturday and 2  p.m. 
 Sunday. A special matinee  performance has been added on May 23 at 3 p.m
 . The theatre is  located at 361 E. Cady St. in  Northville. Tickets are
  $28 to $30 for  adults and $26 to $28 for  students and senior citizens
 \, and are  available now by calling the box  office at 248-347-0003.Thi
 s  production is supported\, in part\, by  an award from the MICHIGAN CO
 UNCIL  FOR ARTS AND CULTURAL AFFAIRS and  the NATIONAL ENDOWMENT for the
