 nt Theatre opens the last show in its 2011-12 &ldquo\;5th birthday seaso
 n&rdquo\; with this lovely comedy about life-long friendships.Lucille\, 
  Doris\, and Ida are Jewish widows and the surviving members of longtime
   best friends. They get together once a month for tea and a visit to th
 e  cemetery where their husbands are buried. Each woman deals with the  
 passing of her husband in her own way. Lucille still fancies herself as 
 a  flamboyant swinger\, Doris is a traditional matronly widow still devo
 ted  to her departed husband\, and Ida has happy memories of her husband
  and  their marriage and is in no hurry to move on. How they heal\, quar
 rel\,  cope with the past\, and learn to date again is the hallmark of t
 his  bittersweet comedy about life and friendship.&ldquo\;The women in t
 his  show have been friends for many years and have a really fun rapport
  with  each other\,&ldquo\; said director\, Beth Torrey. &ldquo\;The bes
 t part of the  production is that it focuses on women in a later stage i
 n life and  their unique friendships.&rdquo\; When asked about the chall
 enges of the show  Torrey says\, &rdquo\;The script takes place in two l
 ocations: a living room and  a cemetery. They both have to be equally re
 presented on the stage in a  creative way and I think our great design t
 eam has achieved that!&rdquo\;Cemetery  Club runs from May 10 through Ju
 ne 17\, 2012. The curtain rises at 8  p.m. Thursdays through Saturdays\,
  with matinees at 3 p.m. Saturday and 2  p.m. Sunday. A special matinee 
 performance has been added on Wednesday  May 23 at 3 p.m. The theatre is
  located at 361 E. Cady St. in  Northville. Tickets are $28 to $30 for a
 dults and $26 to $28 for  students and senior citizens\, and are availab
 le now by calling the box  office at 248-347-0003.This production is sup
 ported\, in part\, by  an award from the MICHIGAN COUNCIL FOR ARTS AND C
 ULTURAL AFFAIRS and  the NATIONAL ENDOWMENT for the ARTS.
