Charity Softball Game to Support Local Organ Transplant Families & Transplant Games of America

Local organ transplant recipients, donors and families are hosting a charity softball game to raise funds to participate in the 2012 Transplant Games of America in Grand Rapids this July 28-August 1. Donations and proceeds from the softball game will help support “Team Michigan” team members participate in the games which are an Olympic style venue. Teams from all across the US participate with close to 2000 athletes who at one time has had a life-saving transplant.
WHEN: June 10, 2012 -- 2:00 pm: Festivities start with 50/50 Raffle, food & fun. 3:00 pm: Softball game starts
WHERE: Northville Recreation Center in Hines Park, Area A. Located on Hines Drive just south of Seven Mile Road.
PLAY: All transplant recipients, donors and family members are welcome to join the game and can register in advance or on-site.

Part of the Hines Park system, the Waterford Bend Area is located near 6 Mile and Northville Roads. The Area is open to the public and offers a playground, a baseball diamond and a volleyball court. There is no camping or hunting.
