DESCRIPTION:Ladies\, we know you are busy running errands and taking care
  of the  kids\; but when you are bringing in the groceries\, are you pay
 ing  attention to your surroundings? How would you protect yourself and 
 your  kids if you become thretatened?\nThe Farmington Hills/Farmington E
 mergency Preparedness Commission  (EPC) and the Farmington Family YMCA w
 ill present a women&rsquo\;s self defense  seminar.\nOver one thousand w
 omen have participated in the EPC&rsquo\;s popular  self-defense seminar
 s\, which have been presented ten times during the  past six years. The 
 class will be taught by Jeff Duncan\, master  instructor and sixth degre
 e black belt. Through a series of close-range  drills\, women will learn
  both situational awareness and self-defense  skills.\nThe self-defense 
 seminar is open to all women ages 11 and up. An $8  dollar registration 
 fee will cover class supplies and also a tax  deductible donation to be 
 shared by HAVEN\, an Oakland County crisis and  counseling center for vi
 ctims of domestic violence\, and the Farmington  Family YMCA&rsquo\;s yo
 uth and family programs.\nAdvance registration is required. If financial
  help is needed with  the seminar fee\, please mention this at the check
