Are you grateful for your employees? Show them your appreciation this holiday season!

At this time of year we are reminded that we have a lot to be thankful for. If you’re a business owner or manager, chances are you are extremely grateful for your hard working employees and staff who make your business a success year-round.

Here at Vision Computer Solutions, our leadership team shows appreciation for our staff throughout the year. Here are some of my favorite examples of how our leadership team rewards our staff around the holidays:

1. Celebrate with your team. There are many reasons to celebrate with your team at the end of the year: the holidays, the New Year, the end of Q4. Whatever your reason for celebrating, it’s a great idea to bring your entire company together. It’s a chance for everyone to reflect on the year and look forward to the next one as you unwind  and have some fun!

2. Let your staff work remotely. If the nature of your business allows for it, let your staff work remotely the day before or after a holiday. Chances are your customers are probably out of the office anyways, and your employees will appreciate the flexibility.

3. Participate in a charity event. Not everybody celebrates the same holidays, but everyone is on board to help those in need! Gather your staff and participate in a charity event, volunteering at a soup kitchen, or donating food or gifts to families.

4. Give your staff a gift they can use. Every Thanksgiving, our leadership team gives everyone in the office a turkey! This makes for a great holiday gift because everyone can use it around the holidays regardless of age, gender, or religion. If poultry isn’t your thing, make sure your holiday gifts can be used by everyone. Your staff will appreciate it!

However you choose to celebrate the holiday season at your business, our entire Michigan computer consulting team wishes you a very happy holidays!
