Level One Bank's Northville branch participates in the 3rd annual "Dog Days of Summer"

It will be a carnival of canines as the Level One Bank Northville branch participates in the third annual “Dog Days of Summer”, Friday, August 23, 2013 to raise funds for the Animal Welfare Society (AWS) of Southeast Michigan.

Level One Bank employees are encouraged to bring their furry friends to work for the day and participate in the Bank’s “Puppy Promenade” at its headquarters in Farmington Hills.  Employees may donate to AWS of Southeast Michigan, while enjoying ‘best friend camaraderie’ during the work day. The event raises awareness of the great need for homeless pet adoptions.

“Multiple nationwide studies have shown that dogs in the workplace boost employee morale while reducing stress,” said Susan Edwards, President & Treasurer, AWS of Southeast Michigan. “Our partnership with Level One Bank helps us raise awareness of AWS and the need for homeless pet adoptions.”

All donations will support AWS of Southeast Michigan. The goal of AWS is to secure homes for as many rescued animals as possible, while educating the public on the importance of spaying and neutering in an effort to control the pet population. AWS offers assistance to low income pet owners with a Pet Food Pantry, low cost vaccine clinics every spring and low-cost spay/neuter programs throughout the year.  In the past 30 years, AWS has found homes for more than 20,000 felines and canines.
