Northville Township Professional Firefighters Climb the Renaissance Center

On Sunday March 2, members of the Northville Township Fire Department Professional Firefighters Union participated in the American Lung Association’s (ALA) Fight for Air Stair Climb at the Renaissance Center of Detroit.  The event challenged participants to scale 70 flights of stairs, or 1,035 steps, to the top of Detroit’s tallest building.  The Stair Climb is a unique fundraiser to benefit the ALA’s effort to “provide life saving education, research and advocacy so we can beat lung disease and soon find a cure,” and is a popular event among Fire Fighters and Paramedics from across Southeastern Michigan.

Four of Northville Township Fire Department’s Fire Fighters/Paramedics participated.  All completed the 70 flight climb in full firefighting gear and placed 10th out of 45 participating Fire Department teams.

The firefighters would like to thank those that contributed to help them raise $640.00 to benefit the American Lung Association.
