Grab and Go Kids' Planner: Dogs, Fairies and Origami

Head to Barktoberfest on Saturday morning and finish out Sunday with a Fairy Tea Party.

There are so many fun things going on this weekend, you might have to vote on where to go and what to do! But, the good news is, it's all close to home. Remember to look for the kids’ planner each Thursday for a fresh batch of family-friendly to-dos.

Where/When: Bilkie Family Field at 357 Theodore Street in Plymouth on Saturday with games at 10 a.m., 12 p.m. and 2 p.m.

Why Go: Cheer on children with special needs as they take to the field!

Pricing: Free

Where/When: Liberty Street (between Starkweather and Mill) in Plymouth's Old Village on Saturday. Check-in starts at 9 a.m. Walk at 10 a.m.

Why Go: Bring your pup for a 2-mile fun walk to benefit Waggin' Tails Dog Rescue and The Old Village.

Pricing: $25 race day registration

Where/When: Novi High School on Sunday at 1 p.m.

Why Go: Learn about all things Japanese including traditional foods, games and arts including origami, calligraphy and the tea ceremony. There will be plenty of cultural workshops and performances, too.

Where/When: in Northville on Sunday from 2-4 p.m.

Why Go: Looking for that impromptu something special to do? It's the perfect mom-daughter outing.

Pricing: $20 for adults; $15 for children
