Trying to break out of the usual weekend hum drum? Stuck without any ideas?  Say no more. We've complied a list of events that are sure to be fun for you and the kids!

FAMILY BEST BETS OF THE WEEK

Why Go: Get reacquainted with this classic fairy tale. Have your son or daughter invite a friend to the theater but leave the youngest siblings (under age 3) at home for this outing.

Pricing: $8.50 

Where/When: Downtown Plymouth on Saturday from 10 a.m.-6 p.m.

Why Go: What better way to spend a girls' day out? Bring all the ladies in the family to cruise the shops along Forest Avenue, Ann Arbor Trail and Penniman Avenue for Diva Day specials at a variety of shops and restaurants. Be one of the first 500 divas and you'll get a boa, too!

Where/When:  in Northville at 11 a.m. on Saturday

Why Go: Come meet Cookie Mouse from the children's story, If You Give a Mouse a Cookie. Stick around for stories and crafts and don't forget to bring your camera to snap some cute pictures.

DINOSAURS UNEARTHED

Where/When: The Detroit Science Center at 5020 John R Street; museum hours are Wednesday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., Saturday from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. and Sunday from noon to 6 p.m.

Why Go: Get fully immersed in the prehistoric world of dinosaurs. The new Dinosaurs Unearthed exhibit includes more than 20 animatronics dinosaurs. And, each ticket includes a Dinosaur Planet planetarium show and the Dinosaurs Alive! IMAX® movie.

Pricing: $19.95 for adults; $17.95 for seniors and children ages 2-12; children under 2 are free

FESTIFOOLS

Where/When:  Downtown Ann Arbor on Main St. (between Washington and William) on Sunday from 4-5 p.m.

Why Go: The streets will be filled with giant, zany puppets, music, dancing and fun for all ages. But, it won't last long so don't be late!
