Michigan Surgery Specialists Hosts Toy Drive
MSS has teamed up with Oakland Regional Hospital to collect toys for Big Family of Michigan.
Big Family of Michigan is an organization in Southeast Michigan helping to make life better for children waiting to be adopted or in at-risk situations. One of its programs ensures that in-need children are given toys for the holidays. More than 6,000 toys will be given out this holiday season and, once again, Michigan Surgery Specialists (MSS) and Oakland Regional Hospital (ORH) have volunteered to help Big Family reach its goal.
MSS office locations and ORH are hosting a toy drive that is open to the public and their employees. Individuals are asked to drop off new, unwrapped toys for children from infants to 18 years of age. The toy drive runs from Nov. 16 to Dec. 5.
Toys will be distributed to children in the foster care system and in local neighborhoods. Target or Walmart gift cards are welcome, as well as teenage electronics. Toy guns are not appropriate, and stuffed animals are not needed at this time.

The medical group will also host an internal employee contest to raise funds to purchase toys, purchase holiday poinsettias with proceeds benefiting Big Family, host a toy wrapping party and employee volunteers will support Big Family initiatives over the holidays.
