Northville Student Raises More Than $5,000 For Children's Miracle Network

Akhil Alluri played 54 holes of golf at the Northville Hills Golf Club on Sept. 15, with donors sponsoring his endeavor. His brother and friends also played with him to support his efforts.
On Sept. 23, Alluri presented a $5,163 check to Matt Romkey of the Children's Miracle Network, his father Srini Alluri said. The money will benefit the charity's work at Beaumont Hospital in Royal Oak.
