VIDEO: Northville Trick-or-Treating Draws Hundreds to City

From detailed displays to colorful costumes, Northville's streets were festive on Halloween night.

With the sounding of the city of Northville's fire department's siren, trick-or-treating began at 6 p.m. sharp on Monday.

The fire department also passed out cotton candy and popcorn from inside the fire station. The tradition goes back as far as 1965, fire chief Jim Allen said.

Costumed superheroes, princesses, ghosts and other characters lined the city's streets in search of Halloween candy until trick-or-treating ended at 8 p.m.
