Independence Day Parade

Be on Main Street at 9:30 a.m. for a pre-parade surprise! This year's theme is: Land of the Free, Home of the Brave. The Northville Community Foundation hosts this event and this year's parade will include floats, marching bands, classic cars, kids' characters, a bike parade, pet parade and the Monkeymobile! Kids are welcome to join the bike parade. Just decorate your bike ahead of time and arrive at 9:15 a.m. at the northwest parking lot at Sheldon and 7 Mile Road. No pre-registration is needed. The grand marshal of the 2011 parade is retiring School Superintendent Len Rezmierski. If you have a parade entry (float or pet parade), you must pre-register by calling 248-374-0200.
