Irish Dancers Win Talent For the Title Competition

The Belles of Belfast City take home the title in the Northville talent show Friday.

Performers of all kinds, from a folk dance group to singers to cellists to pianists, took to the stage in Northville's town square Friday night to compete in the annual competition.

Ultimately, the energetic dancing of the Belles of Belfast City, an Irish dance group, won the title.

More than 20 acts, the most ever in the competition's history, showed off skills for a record crowd, according to event co-organizer Laurie Jarski of . Mary Starring of the was also a co-organizer.

The performers competed in preliminary competitions prior to their Friday night. Judges and crowd members, by purchasing tickets which counted as votes, selected the winners. 

In second place, the first time the award was given, was Tobias Pace. He wowed the audience with a powerful command of his electric guitar.
