Bliss Baby & Kids Moves to New Location

The store for babies and children has moved across the street in downtown Northville.

After seven years in downtown Northville, Bliss Baby & Kids has moved to a new location. But don't worry, it just moved across the street.

Now located at 137 E. Main Street next to the Marquis Theatre, Bliss has been at its new location for about two months.

The store carries products for children including clothes, diapers, swaddling blankets, baby carriers and shoes.

The business also has toys for all ages, all of which are non-toxic. Plus, most of them are made in the United States. Several of the products are made in Michigan, such as the Uncle Goose Books from Grand Rapids and Green Toys, which are made from recycled milk jugs. Recently, the store added a line of Playmobil toys because of popular demand.

Owner Colleen McInnis, who runs the business with her husband, Trevor, said that customers and their own kids prompt them to carry products.

"We have customers who say, 'That was the best gift ever!,' and we like to be that store where gifts are a home run every time," she said.

McInnis said many people think the store's prices must be expensive since it's in downtown Northville, but said they are actually the same prices as Target.

Hours are Monday 11 a.m. to 3 p.m., Tuesday through Thursday 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., and Friday and Saturday 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.
