Biggest Loser Star Visits Planet Fitness for Grand Reopening in Northville
Northville's Planet Fitness recently completed an extensive remodeling of its facility for $700,000.
Planet Fitness is Biggest Loser star Buddy Shuh's gym of choice.
"They really do a good job of making people feel welcome," he said.

Shuh, who dropped from 440 to 270 pounds, visited Northville Monday for the grand reopening celebration of the city's Planet Fitness after an extensive remodeling of its facility totaling $700,000. The site, now with a signature purple and yellow interior, was first home to the Water Wheel Health Club in 1995.
"It was an old abandoned building. We were glad to help it out," said Chris Klebba, owner of Northville's Planet Fitness and seven others in Michigan.
The Northville location became the home of the first Planet Fitness in metro Detroit in 2006, he said. Its first major remodeling finished this month and the added amenities include new cardio and strength equipment, two hydro massaging beds and 20 large screen TVs.
"They have all the equipment I need," said Paul Zalno, 62, of Northville, who isn't into heavy weightlifting.
He said he has been exercising at Northville's Planet Fitness for 12 years, in part because it's only two miles from his home.
"And you can't beat the price," he said.
Planet Fitness members pay a minimal fee of $10 to $19.99 a month, which includes access to fitness classes.
