The cupcake shop is going into the space adjoined with Chocolates by Renee.

Visitors to downtown Northville will soon be able to satisfy their chocolate and cupcake cravings in one spot.

Nom Nom’s Cupcake Factory & Sweets Shoppe, of Westland, will soon open in downtown Northville, at 118 East Main St., in the same location as Chocolates by Renee

“We are elated. We think it is a perfect blend, and we are very excited for the customers because they will have such a variety to choose from,” said Chocolates by Renee owner Stephanie Acho-Tartoni.

A mother-and-daughter team own Nom Nom’s Cupcake Factory, which opened in 2011 in Westland. Jennifer Ryan said she and her mother, Laura Wier, were looking for a second location and thought a downtown spot would be a good idea. She said they happened to come across the vacant space adjoined with Chocolates by Renee.

“The fact that she was already an existing business and she does sweet treats like we do, it kind of just made sense. It was perfect,” she said.

Ryan said the goal is to open in less than two weeks. She said the space, which was bare, requires a lot of work.

Nom Nom’s Cupcake Factory offers over 100 varieties of cupcakes that are baked fresh every day. Some of the scrumptious flavors include Banana Rum, Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough, Hot Fudge Sundae, Caramel Apple and Chocolate Monkey.

“There’s nothing like it down there, so that will be fun for everyone,” Ryan said.

Acho-Tartoni agreed. She said everyone in town is ecstatic and can’t wait for the opening.
