Northville's Next Chapter Bookstore & Bistro Serves 1,400th Crepe (VIDEO)

The Main Street business is offering free crepe samples to Northville Patch readers who mention this story.

Aside from its fame of being featured in the popular horror movie Scream 4, The Next Chapter Bookstore & Bistro's owner is hoping the restaurant becomes as famous for its crepes.

"We want to be known for crepes in Northville," owner Dan Comaianni said. "You'll find that as we progress, crepes will become more and more of the Next Chapter's emphasis on what we offer. It's not secondary. It's not something where we just have a crepe machine."

The Main Street bookstore and bistro makes them from scratch, and still offers the more familiar sandwich and soup items on its regular menu. There are nine types of the French-style crepes offered at Next Chapter. You can check out the menu online.

Last week, the business sold its 1,400th crepe since it began serving them earlier this year. The plan is to offer an extended variety soon, Comaianni said.

In celebration of Next Chapter's crepe milestone, Comaianni is extending Northville Patch readers a special offer.

"For anyone who has not had one yet, I would like to offer them an invitation to come and try it," he said. "Just let me know that they saw this on Patch and I'd be happy to make them a crepe complimentary just so they could find out for themselves how good they actually are."
