The club features an extensive selection of cardio equipment including treadmills, ellipticals, arc trainers, and stationary bikes. Every cardio machine is connected to an entertainment system consisting of multiple widescreen HD televisions. In addition, free fitness instruction is included with all memberships. A certified fitness trainer is on staff weekdays to assist members with workout programs at no additional charge."Our mission is to offer a non-intimidating atmosphere to exercise at a very affordable price,” Klebba said in the release.
Memberships at Planet Fitness cost $10 to $19.99 a month. Billed as The Judgement Free Zone®, Planet Fitness stands apart from other health clubs by providing a relaxed, non-intimidating atmosphere. This includes a low tolerance for bodybuilders made evident by the "Lunk Alarm," an actual light and siren intended to deter members from the hard-core, look-at-me behavior common in gyms.
