Solid Grounds Coffee House Closes Its Doors

The coffee shop, which opened in 2007, is auctioning off everything in the store.

After more than four years, has closed its doors in Northville Square.

"Some of you may already know we've had to close our doors at Solid Grounds Coffee House. I want to thank all of our loyal customers for the years of your patronage," said an email from owner Teresa Berent. The email does not indicate why the shop is closing. According to its Facebook page, the coffee shop officially closed on July 4.

is auctioning off all of its furniture, equipment and more. The auction ends July 11 via Detroit Metro Auctions.

The coffee shop's former neighbor, , also left Northville Square this year for Livonia.

A representative for Solid Grounds could not immediately be reached.
