5 Things You Should Know Today: April 1

From events to gas prices to the weather, we've gathered a list of information that is important to Northville today.

  1. Northville weather: Partly sunny skies are expected today with a high near 49 degrees, according to the National Weather Service. Tonight there's a chance of rain and snow before midnight. Less than half an inch of snow is likely. Mostly cloudy skies are also expected with a low around 32 degrees.
  2. The lowest reported gas price in the Northville area, as of late Wednesday night, according to DetroitGasPrices.com via GasBuddy.com, is $3.59 per gallon at the station at South Main and Gardner streets.
  3. The will be hosting Friday Flicks at 1 p.m. with the showing of Fools Rush In starring Mathew Perry and Salma Hayek. Cost is $1.
  4. It's April 1st, the first Friday of the month. That means its time for the First Friday Experience in downtown Northville. From 6 p.m. to 9 p.m., downtown shops and galleries will be open with hors d'oeuvres and beverages for its visitors.
  5. The Children's Exhibit: Capturing Everyday Moments will be on display. This exhibit showcases work from each of the classes in the Northville Public Schools' Early Childhood Education and Extended Day Programs. begins at 5:30 p.m.
