1. Northville weather

Mostly sunny skies are expected today with a high near 53 degrees, according ot the National Weather Service. In the evening, there's a chance of rain and snow after 2 a.m. with mostly cloudy skies and a low around 35 degrees.

2. Gas prices

The lowest reported gasoline price in the Northville area – according to DetroitGasPrices.com via GasBuddy.com – is $3.85 per gallon. That price is reported to be available at the Mobil at Eight Mile and Taft roads. Before your commute, be sure to check out our live traffic map.

3. Event

The on Main Street will hold a clothing drive today. Here's more info from the event listing: "Clean and gently used clothing including outerwear, business clothes, shoes and belts and blankets needed for the Fort Street Presbyterian Open Door Ministry in Detroit. New underwear and socks are also appreciated. A truck will be parked along the east side of the church behind Starbucks."

4. This day in history

According to history.com, German mathematician and astronomer Johannes Kepler hypothesizes that the universe was created on this day in 4977 BC. Kepler, born in 1571, is considered a founder of modern science.
