5 Things You Should Know Today: May 20

From events to gas prices to the weather, we've gathered a list of information that is important to Northville today.

  1. Northville weather: Watch for areas of dense fog before noon, according to the National Weather Service. Otherwise, mostly cloudy, with a high near 73 degrees. In the evening, patchy fog is possible after midnight with partly cloudy skies and a low temperature around 52 degrees, according to the NWS.
  2. The lowest reported gas price in the Northville area – as of early Friday morning, according to DetroitGasPrices.com via GasBuddy.com – is down to $3.87 per gallon. That price is available, according to the website, at the Mobil station at Six Mile and Haggerty roads. Gas is selling for $3.89 per gallon at the BP station at Seven Mile and Beck roads.
  3. The is open for business. The drive-in theatre features three screens showing double-feature, full length movies.  The every evening at 7:30 p.m.
  4. Northville's new strings club consists of high school and middle school students who play violin, cello and bass. The club was started in the winter of 2010 by a group of violinists. This will mark the group's first public show. The performance is free and begins at 6 p.m. at .
