5 Things You Should Know Today: Nov. 9

From events to gas prices to the weather, we've got info important to Northville today.

  1. Northville weather: Rain and a high temperature near 62 degrees is expected today, according to the National Weather Service. In the evening, showers are likely, but mainly before 7 p.m. Cloudy skies are also likely with a low around 37 degrees, according to the NWS.
  2. The lowest reported gasoline price in the Northville area – as of late Tuesday night, according to DetroitGasPrices.com via GasBuddy.com – is $3.33 per gallon. That price is reported to be available at the Sunoco station at Five Mile and Haggerty roads.
  3. At 2 p.m., the The U.S. Department of Homeland Security's Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) and the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) will conduct the first nationwide test of the Emergency Alert System (EAS).
